Capstone Forex Trading News:A survey report released by the Institute of Supply Management on the 5th showed that the purchasing managers' index for non-manufacturing industries in the United States rose slightly in January this year. This means that the US non-manufacturing industry has been expanding for 10 consecutive years.
The survey report shows that the US non-manufacturing purchasing managers index was 55.5 in January, an increase from 54.9 last month. The index has a 50-year ups and downs line, above 50 means that economic activity is expanding.
Anthony Nevez, chairman of the Non-manufacturing Enterprise Survey Committee of the Institute of Supply Management of the United States, said that data showed that non-manufacturing industry continued to expand at an accelerated pace in January. The participants in this survey were mostly optimistic about the business environment and the overall economy, but Difficulties still remain in obtaining labor resources.
A survey report shows that in January, a total of 12 non-manufacturing industries in the United States expanded, of which agriculture, forestry, and fishery hunting were the most significant. At the same time, six non-manufacturing industries have contracted, with transportation, storage and wholesale industries being the most obvious.
Participants in this survey stated that the current pricing of US goods and services has remained stable. Excluding seasonal factors and the impact of trade and tariffs on food prices, price levels are not expected to rise significantly in the first quarter.
